My 14 year old son and I are new to ice fishing. We have been fishing a private lake, (about 60 acres), west of Fremont in search of gills, crappie and or catfish. We have been using both wax worms and minnows. This lake has water depth up to 30ft, sand bottom and some bottom is hard. We have found some underwater trees at 10 to 15 ft deep, no weeds anywhere. Finally saturday we pulled out about 20 small gills and 1 crappie. Drilled holes in water depts anywhere from 10ft to 30ft and searched with our new Vexilar saturday, sunday and monday, could not find another crappie. Could anyone help get us on track on where to look for fish in this lake. We catch nice crappie in the spring, some 15 and 16 inchers so I know they are there, just dont know where. We also catch nice bass and cats open water, just having trouble through the ice.

Apparently this video was taken in Iraq. It show a few of our boys training Iraqi soldiers, this was just warm-ups though. If this is any indication of the quality of people they are finding to be soldiers then they are in for a rough time! I thought jumping jacks were a universal thing, right?
